Gold Eagle Cooperative invests $25,000 in GC4 child care initiative

GEC will be recognized as GC4 Patrons and will receive a bench in their honor.

We’re thrilled to announce a $25,000 donation from Gold Eagle Cooperative (GEC)! The major gift will play a critical part in helping us reach our goal. The donation will be delivered in increments of $5,000 over 5 years.

Speaking about the partnership, Gold Eagle Cooperative CEO Chris Boshart said, “GEC is passionate about supporting projects that add to community vitality. The daycare shortage in rural Iowa is a big problem for working parents, and we are pleased to see this being addressed through GC4.”

For more than 100 years, Gold Eagle Cooperative has been a leading grassroots organization grounded in north-central Iowa. Built on the philosophy that we all prosper by helping each other, their twenty locations in Clarion, Eagle Grove, Forest City, and beyond offer updated facilities, modern technology, and a wide range of products and services related to feed, agronomy, grain and energy. GEC is proud to be involved in their communities, from supporting local organizations to providing efficient service for area farmers.

We’re honored to accept this very generous donation from GEC, and delighted for the role it will play in advancing child care in Hancock County.  For their contribution, GEC will be recognized as GC4 Patrons and will receive a special bench in their honor at the site of the new child care center.

GEC’s approach to providing a recurring donation over several years provides a great example of the many different ways organizations can support GC4, including check, credit card, in-kind donations of materials or services, and one-time or recurring contributions.
