Capital Expansion Project

After nearly 8 years of serving our community in two different locations, Garner Community Christian Child Care is embarking upon an ambitious capital expansion project to help meet the growing demand for local child-care services.

Vision

Today, 75% of the families who need child care in Hancock County are not able to access it, according to data from Iowa Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R). We're doing our part to close this gap and help more families find high-quality care.

Our vision is to construct a state-of-the-art new 9,000 sq. ft. facility that will enable us to increase our capacity by nearly 3X and serve 10% of all children in Hancock County. By the time the expansion is fully complete in 2029, GC4 will become the largest child-care provider in the County, serving more than 100 children and their families.

Fundraising Goal: $3.9M

GC4 is seeking to raise $3.9M to support construction of the new Center, which will be conveniently located at the corner of West Lyons and Division Streets –  just blocks away from both the elementary and high school campuses in downtown Garner.  The new facility will include basic necessities such as on-site laundry service, dedicated infant changing rooms, age-appropriate play areas, and additional square footage to meet and exceed Iowa State quality guidelines and requirements.

Tour the New GC4!

Take a virtual tour of our new facility  with this flyover video prepared by our architecture team. You'll see an artist rendering of the GC4 site, including the building exterior, interior, and surrounding areas. We can't wait to start construction in 2025, but we need your help to turn our dream into reality! Please consider a donation to GC4; together, we can create a brighter future for kids.

Community Sponsorship Opportunities

It takes a village to create a priceless community asset. To support the GC4 transformation, we are seeking community contributions. Philanthropic donations will go toward supporting architecture fees, furnishings, playground equipment, recruitment, and more.

Corporations, small businesses, foundations, and families are invited to participate in this exciting community project with unique benefits:

  • Exclusive naming opportunities
  • Prominent, enduring, and high-value brand recognition
  • Direct local economic investment (10 new jobs, 70+ childcare seats)
  • Well-regarded, fully audited non-profit 501(c)3
  • 100% tax deductible donation
