IMT Transport gives landmark $250,000 donation to GC4

Garner, Iowa – Today, Garner Community Christian Child Care (GC4) announced the receipt of a $250,000 donation from IMT Transport. The major gift is one of the largest donations since the Center launched its Capital Campaign in 2023.

Headquartered in Garner, elite trucking company IMT Transport believes the investment in child care will make a valuable impact on the community, its 300 employees, and their families.

“GC4 shares our commitment to excellence and dedication to providing high-quality service to the folks that make our communities run. With this donation, we’re helping to jumpstart this community-led, industry-supported initiative to significantly expand child care for hard-working families in the region,” said Jeremy Gouge, President of IMT Transport.

The donation will enable construction of a $3.9 million state-of-the-art new child care center in Garner. Following a progressive expansion, Garner Community Christian Child Care will become the largest child care provider in Hancock County when fully enrolled in 2029.

The $250,000 gift is the second largest corporate donation received by GC4 and its partner Hancock County Economic Development, a consortium created to expand child care in the County. The group also announced a $250,000 donation from Stellar Industries, and a $500,000 investment from the Zrostlik Family Trust last year. For the $250,000 donation, IMT Transport will be recognized as a “GC4 Visionary” and will have a playground at the Center named in its honor.
