About the role: 

The Assistant Director will assist in the planning, organizing, implementing, coordinating and controlling services of the childcare program, exercising judgment and decision-making authority as delegated, including budget, policies, procedures and staff supervision. The Assistant Director is responsible for operating the childcare program in conformance with state daycare licensing provisions.

-- This is a full-time role with competitive pay and benefits ($16-$19 / hour depending on experience).

-- The Assistant Director will work closely with our Director, Cara Fish.

-- Weekdays only; no weekends or holidays (except occasional training).

-- This is not a classroom teaching roll, but the Assistant Director may fill in for Lead and Assistant Teachers on occasion.

-- This is a terrific, career-building role that will enable the candidate to hone a wide range of skills across operations, administration, people management, and customer service.

About you: 

-- 21 years of age or older

-- Strong knowledge of child development and acceptable health and safety practices

-- Demonstrates the ability to lead, make decisions, and problem solve in a team environment

-- Builds deep, meaningful relationships with children, parents, and families

-- Conducts yourself according to Christian values and ethics at all times

-- Good oral and written communication skills

-- Independent, organized, adaptable and reliable
